| Comments: | Jayne Tweddle was working at British Fuels at Beckwith Knowle until last september (I temped there when she was on holiday and then when she left until they got a new office manager). She left to work for an IT company at Clifton Moor in the accounts department. I'm racking my brains trying to remember where she lives, but its in the area at least. Not much help I know, but she's alive and well :) I'll ask someone I've kept in touch with from British Fuels if they know where she went and email. |

| Comments: | Hello everyone. What an intriguing site. I was only made aware of it a few days ago via my old chum Keith Mallaby, and have found it fascinating to learn about all your memories. My time at WHS was 1971 to 1978, since when I've spent a total of about 3 hours back in Wetherby. Keith is the only person I have any sort of contact with, so it's been great to hear that Simon Holden, Nick Temple, Nick Hall, Kevin Saddington, Mandy Rance and others are alive & kicking. As for me, after Uni I eventually married, 5 kids in 6 years (girl 12, boys 11, 10, 8, 6), worked in China, India, M.East and now Cheshire. Matrons office was through the front doors at St James, now the Secretary's office. She may have been frightening and apparently cold-blooded but she was probably what we expected (unlike Pavlic Thompson) and she did teach us the basics of the binary number system; where would we be now without that? (if you dont know there would be little point in trying to explain). As for Nick Temples quadruple maths - it did not exist did it? Were you taking extra classes to catch up or did you sneak back in in disguise because you enjoyed it so much! I hope Miss Hunter is alive and well and living in a house with curly-bracket shaped gates and a venn diagram shaped lawn where she entertains house guests with tales of emotionally scarred students who still shiver on the mention of her name! |

Anyhow "sorry" - not your fault, just I keep getting flashbacks to PE when he made a group of lads, me included, run on that burnt ahs stuff during a PE lesson due to the fact that we didn't have any PE type foot wear. |

| Comments: | I never did the Cross-country due to being very clever at getting out of doing it, twisted ankles etc but in the 70's it was a quite harsh course to run, the school have now filled in the water jump which many a lad ended up in and many girls who didn't realise they just had to run around it went in. I think they stopped using it due to parent interception but if anyone can elaborate on that feel free. I hated games apart from at the end of the year when we could do Pirates with the lads. |
