| Comments: | Sorry to hear about Chris Collins, Jason. She was great and we thought she was pretty hip at the time. The art dept at WHS in the 70's was superb and a real inspiration for me and many others. Your father, Barry, was THE best art teacher in the world, with an infectious enthusiasm for his subject and care that went above and beyond the call of duty for lots of his A' level students: He would spend hours helping us to prepare our portfolios for the dreaded art college interviews! The staff at the time I was there consisted of Geoff Larwood, Chris Collins and John Wardle and Cathy Isherwood. (sic) Together, under Barry's guidance, they created an atmosphere that fostered creativity and a passion for art. They were like wise, grown-up friends. We were so lucky. |

She left Wetherby High many years ago and found happinness with her new husband living on a farm in the south west. She enjoyed her time with her husband immensely, having grown up on a farm herself. As one of my Dads staff, I remember her very fondly. |
