This photo was taken by Douglas Webb in 1972/73 and shows David Cummings, Barry Sellers and me with the (then) brand new 'Prograph' timetabling board. Douglas called the photo "Controllers of Destiny". As the school grew, this board was replaced by a bigger version which was used for timetabling throughout the '70's, '80's and '90's, latterly in conjunction with the schools admin computer system. It still hangs in the Deputy Head's Office. Incidentally, I still play golf with a clean-shaven DC almost every week! - MW
so...if you ever wondered which sadists came up with a timetable which subjected you to quadruple maths on a Friday afternoon or biology first thing on Monday morning....now you know!
